Second Edition, identical to the first press!
Strictly regarded as a sideproject of Sol Records cabals Shores of Ladon, KÔR undeniably bears the signature of St. music-, sound- and atmosphere-wise. Supported by SoL drummer Bavragor and recorded during the sessions of the aforementioned band's second full length "Witterung", it's the English language vocals, the Tolkien-based lyrical concept and various very personal intentions that set "The Horns of Ylmir" apart.
The CD release contains 4 songs (38 minutes), mastered by H. Sovali/Trollhorn, and comes with an 8-page booklet.

KÔR’s “The Horns of Ylmir” is at the same time uplifting and mournful, thrilling and soothing, powerful and fragile. While undeniably bearing Shores of Ladon’s signature, these intimate Black Metal hymns, officially labelled as side-project, easily stand for their own, as a deeply personal, captivating and addictive monument.
Sol Records is proud to give this unique German black art the vinyl treatment, housed in a thick cardboard jacket including full-colour two-sided 12x12” lyrics sheet and din a2 poster. The LP is limited to 300 copies.

I'd say Havukruunu is the rightful holder of the Crown and the mantle of Quorthon. Epic choirs, vikingesque themes and tales from the other times, of the Finnish paganism back in the days before our ancestors were brought to the cross and forced to kneel while feeling the bloody sword of saviour on their throats made to kiss the hand of murderers who burnt thousands, tore down our holy places and took our holy days. Eyes teary I listen to these songs, never forgiving the crimes of the cross! Peikonmieli

I fucking love this band. 100% guaranteed that if you opened me up and listened to the sound of my crazy ass black metal heart, it would most likely sound something like this 🤣🖤 bcb723

The atmosphere of this album is fantastic. Makes you feel like you're knee-deep in the trenches drenched in mud, filth, sweat, and blood. Truly encapsulates the horrors of World War I, and the fact that the lyrics of some of the songs are taken from old war letters really adds to the authenticity.

While Ofte jeg drømmer mig død will most likely always be my favourite Afsky album (being one ov my favourite albums in general), Om hundrede år ticks all the boxes I hoped it would: the calm and simultaneously depressing folk elements are there; the wailing screams of a forlorn spirit, forced to eternally wander the woods (apt comparison, deadpunk!); the harsh, bitterly cold guitar riffs and the ultimate realisation of life, death and our inevitable undoing. Exactly what I want. Recommended! David Fischer
